The programme for the North Seas Energy Cooperation ministerial includes site visits, the Ministerial meeting, public-industry conference and great network opportunities. All activities will depart from or be hosted at Fisheries and Maritime Museum (FIMUS) in Esbjerg.

Ministerial meeting format

The Ministerial meeting is hosted at The Fisheries and Maritime Museum (FIMUS). Due to limited space in the ministerial meeting room the seating at the meeting is restricted to minister at the table +2 advisors seated behind. The meeting is conducted in English.

Site visits

The morning of 20 June, we launch the ministerial programme with an exclusive helicopter site visit (Ministers only) showing the potential of the North Seas. The tour will overfly the offshore wind farm Horns Rev 1, soon to be inaugurated Horns Rev 3 and lunch and visit on the maintenance platform at Horns Rev 2. Please make sure to fill in the requested information related to this activity when registering. Selected members of the press will be invited to be at the maintenance platform for the lunch.

Accommodation

Preliminary bookings are made available at Hjerting Badehotel and Hotel Britannia with an early bird discount (this service is restricted to government delegations only). The hotels are hubs for host organized transport.


Please note that bookings must be placed before 20 May. Name changes may be made up to 48 hours before arrival. All bookings and payments are to be arranged directly with the hotels. If you wish to stay at other hotels, please note that transport will not be provided.

Esbjerg is located on the Danish mainland facing the North Seas. Esbjerg is best reached by combining a flight to Billund Airport with 50 minute drive by airport car service. The Copenhagen and the Hamburg airport are both 2 h 45 min. drive away.
